Cecil Elkins

Cecil Vernon Elkins, 48, of Silsbee and a native of Brownwood, died Thursday, March 27, 2014. Survivors include his children, Cecil Elkins Jr. and wife Kelsey of Burkett, Jesse Elkins and Chad Elkins, both of Rising Star, Harley Kieschnick and husband Matt of Kountze and Kristeena Elkins of Silsbee; mother, Pauline Essary of Del Leon; father,Jerry Don Elkins and wife Viola of Splendora; brothers, Jerry Elkins and wife Donna of Ballinger and John Calvin Elkins of Commanche; sister, Gina Elkins of Commanche; and seven grandchildren.

Tommy McCullor

Tommy Joe “BigMac”McCullor, 70, of Lumberton, died Thursday, March 27, 2014. A graveside service was held Saturday, March 29 at Antioch Cemetery in Buna under the direction of Lumberton Family Funeral Home in Lumberton. A native of Converse, Louisiana, he was a United States Air Force Vietnam veteran and was the recipient of numerous awards. He was the crew chief of the C.103 airplane that escorted Bob Hope on one of his USO tours. He was a member of the VFWfor 40 plus years. Survivors include his wife, Patricia McCullor of Lumberton; daughter, Tanya McCullor of Vidor; stepsons, Reggie Peet of Vidor, Randy Peet of Vidor and Anthony Elizondo of China; stepdaughter, MistyStrickland of Lumberton; sister, LilyWalters of Warren; and four grandchildren.

Velinda McGallion

Funeral services for Velinda Joyce Eason McGallion, 58, of Fred were at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at First Pentecostal Church of Fred with interment following in Community Cemetery. Visitation began at 6:00 p.m. Friday at their residence, 5671 CR 4700 in Fred. Mrs. McGallion passed away March 25, 2014 at her residence. Anative of Liberty, Joyce was a long time resident of Fred. She worked as a substitute teacher and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, I.C. and Lorene Moss Eason. Survivors include her husband, Clifton McGallion of Fred; sons, Dewayne McGallion and wife Candy and Michael McGallion and wife Brandy, both of Fred; brothers, James Lee Eason and James Leslie Eason, both of Fred; sister, Venus Anderson of Pineland and Mickey Graham of Jena, LA; and grandchildren, Tammi, Kaylee, Gracie, Isom and Elijah.

Charles Burrow

Funeral services for Charles Clarence Burrow, 89, of Llano were at 2:00 p.m. Saturday,March 29, 2014 with interment following in R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. M r. Burrow passed away March 25, 2014 at Hill Country Healthcare Center in Llano. He was born January 9, 1925 to Clarence and Cardie Carter Burrow and was a lifelong Texas resident. Charles led a full life with many accomplishments and was fortunate to have loved and been loved by many people. He enjoyed collecting and tinkering with classic cars, antiques, etc. He will be sorely missed and will remain in many people’s hearts and memories. One can find comfort that Charles is happier now, in a better place with all the people he has loved and lost. Mr. Burrow is survived by three sons, Allen Burrow of Georgetown, Robert Burrow of Burnet and Rex Burrow of Georgetown; and nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Helen McClellan

Graveside service for Helen “Noelle” McClellan, 60, of Kountze will be at 2 p.m. Saturday April 5, 2014 at RS Farmer Memorial Cemetery in Silsbee. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday at Farmer Funeral Home. Mrs McClellan passed away at Baptist Hospital on Monday, March 31, 2014. Mrs McClellan was a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and a longtime resident of Kountze. She attended Cathedral in the Pines Church and supported Humane Society of Southeast Texas with donations. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, George Antolik and Joyce Robbins Antolik. Survivors include her husband, James Russell McClellan of Kountze; and brothers, George Antolik and wife Martha of Little Rock Arkansas, Paul Antolik and wife Barbara of Houston and John Antolik and wife Sue of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Dale Briley

Mr. Dale C. Briley, age 63, of Silsbee, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in Beaumont, Texas. Services were at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation was on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Mr. Briley was born in Beaumont, Texas on September 8, 1950. He lived to be a husband, father, paw paw and friend. The profound footprint left behind will be eternally cherished and forever missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, F.G.”Josh” and Emilee Briley. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Marian Briley of Silsbee, Texas; two daughters, Racheal Briley and her husband Rob Gibbs and Jessica Rae Burkett and her husband Arwin Burkett, Jr. and two grandchildren, Rian Zamora and Ethan Dale Burkett. Lillian Howard

Lillian Marie Howard, 88, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in Hunble. Funeral service was Saturday, March 22 at Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Lumberton under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, also in Beaumont. She had lived in Lumberton 37 years and had been a resident of Collier Park the past three years. Survivors include sons, Dennis Recla of Grant Pass, Oregon and Aubrey “Joe” Howard of China; daughter, Connie Barreto of Porter; and eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
