Michael Chambers

Michael Steven Chambers, 54, of Fred, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at his home. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Jana Chambers of Fred; daughter, Laura Riddick of Silsbee; parents, C.S. and Rose Alice Chambers of Beaumont; brother, Robert Chambers and wife Helen of Vidor; and two grandchildren. JP White

Memorial services for Jewel Porter “JP” White, 93, of Silsbee were held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home. Mr. White passed away February 1, 2017 at his residence in Silsbee. He was a native of Manilla, Arkansas and a longtime resident of Silsbee. JP was the owner and operator of AM KKAS 1300 which later changed to FM KWDX Radio Station in Silsbee. JP served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. Mr. White is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Tildon and Minnie Ann Shride White; and wife, Carol White.

Jack Hardy Sr.

Jack Earl Hardy Sr., 86, of Doucette, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Woodville Health and Rehab. A graveside service was Friday, February 3 at Restlawn Cemetery in Vidor under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Born in Nederland, he had lived in Evadale for many years before moving to Wildwood, then to Doucette in 2003. He retired from Gulf Oil where he worked as an electrician. After retiring, he started a contracting business and in 2001 opened an antique and resale shop. He was a 63 year member of Evadale Masonic Lodge and was a Past Worthy Patron of Eastern Star. Survivors include sons, Jack Earl “Jay” Hardy Jr. and wife Laly of California and Jody Edward Hardy and wife Yvonne of Longview; daughters, Jacqauelyn Elaine Whelan and husband Robert of Woodville, Jan Elizabeth Spears and husband Donald and Jennifer Ellen Wilson and husband Greg, all of Silsbee; brothers, Pete Ross Hardy of Houston and Larry Van Hardy of Ohio; sister, Glenda K.

Dollie Goins

Dollie Jene Goins, 84, of Buna, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at Silsbee Oak’s Health Care. Funeral service was Monday, February 6 at Central Baptist Church in Evadale with burial following in Morse Cemetery in Buna under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. A native of Longview and a longtime resident of Evadale, she was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Truman Goins of Buna; sons, Joey Goins and wife Janis of Silsbee and Jackie Goins and wife Laura of Buna; sister, Imogene McCarthy of Marshall; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren

Herb Crawford

Herb Wesley Crawford, 72, of Lumberton, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at his home. Born in Washington, DC, he was a superintendent for APAC before retiring and he was a United States Army veteran. Survivors include his daughters, Cheryl Klink and husband Robert of Lumberton and Holly Boudreaux and husband Jeff of Port Neches; brother, Victor Crawford; sisters, Ethel Hanson, Jane Lord and Lenore Modon; and three grandchildren. There will be a small gathering to celebrate his life at a later date.

Mary Lou Pricard

Mrs. Mary Lou Wheeler Prichard passed away February 3, 2017 at her home in Hillister, Texas. She was born February 11, 1935 in Glen Flora, Texas to James Fredrick and Willie Mae Wheeler. When Mary Lou and her husband, Alfred, moved to Hillister 36 years ago she began working as the secretary at Hillister Baptist Church. Mrs. Prichard was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, W. B. Wheeler and Thomas W. Wheeler and her sister, Ruth Ann Wheeler. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Alfred Prichard; daughter, Shirley Hall of Claremore, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Lovette Rausch and her husband, Troy of Harrah, Oklahoma; grandson, Cory Hall; and greatgrandchildren, Jaden and Caleb Rausch and Gabe and Lucy Hall.

Mary Ann Dana, 88, of Lumberton, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017. Funeral service was at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, February 8) at Woodcrest United Methodist Church in Lumberton with a private burial following at Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee. Born in Rochester, New York, she had lived in Lumberton since 1974. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, John “Jack” Dana; sons, Jim Dana and wife Patty of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Bob Dana of Beaumont; daughters, Lynn Greer and husband Judson of San Diego, California and Sue Paladino and husband Leo of Lumberton; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

James Franklin “Butch” Fisher, 73, of Silsbee, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in Silsbee. Funeral service was Saturday, February 4 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Born in Beaumont and a longtime resident of Silsbee, he worked as a mechanic for many years. Survivors include his mother, Marjorie Joyce of Lumberton; wife, Marilyn Fisher of Silsbee; son, James Franklin Fisher Jr. and wife Pam of Silsbee; daughters, Nesha Gaye Hooks and husband Nathan of Hillister and Currie Lee Donan of Silsbee; brothers, Rusty Fisher of Lumberton; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Jody Ray Smith Jr., 48, of Silsbee, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Harbor Hospice. Born in Stockton, California, he had worked as a pipefitter. Survivors include step-son, Aaron Gore of Silsbee; step daughter, Amber Favors of Silsbee; sisters, Jennifer Cravey of Silsbee, Brenda De- Frenchi and Vicki Burton, both of Tracy, California; and four grandchildren.

Charles Wright

Funeral services for Charles Ray Wright, 84, of Silsbee were at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation was from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday before the service. Mr. Wright passed away January 28th at Silsbee Oaks Health Care. Charles was a native of Canton and a longtime Silsbee resident.
