Bobbie Stuart

Bobbie Lynn Stuart, 90, of Silsbee, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 in Zavalla. Funeral service was Friday, September 8 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery, also in Silsbee. A native and longtime resident of Silsbee, she worked as a cashier. Survivors include her sons, Carl Stuart and wife Terri of Silsbee and Randy Stuart and wife Terri of Zavalla; sister, Joyce Buckner of Silsbee; and ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Etta Landry

Etta Virginia Landry, 77, of Silsbee, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Riceland Hospice in Beaumont. Funeral service was Sunday, September 10 at North End United Pentecostal Church in Evadale with burial following in Morse Cemetery in Buna. Born in Baker, she was a longtime resident of Silsbee and had worked many years as a care giver before retiring. Survivors include her sons, Ronan “Ron” Landry and wife Mona and Mark Landry and wife Sherry, all of Silsbee and Terry D. Landry and wife Stacy of San Antonio; brothers, David Eugene Griffis of Silsbee and Howard Griffis of Buna; sisters, Barbara Elliott of Pineland, Averine Pennington of Simonton, and Retha L. Smith of Evadale; and 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren

Funeral services for Deborah Dee Sanford Smith, 48, of Silsbee, TX will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Freedom Fellowship, 8137 FM 418, Silsbee TX with burial following at R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery (Resthaven) in Silsbee. Visitation will be at 12:00 p.m. before the service. Mrs. Smith was ushered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at 10:30 pm September 7, 2017. She was faithful and obedient on her journey! Deborah was a lifelong resident of Silsbee although she lived several years in Kenya, Africa as a missionary. She devoted her life to sharing Jesus with others. Deborah loved her family and people all over the world. She was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Silsbee Tigers! She was also a published author and made the best seller list of faith based books on Amazon. Nothing in the world made her prouder than her husband and children. She was overwhelmed with joy about the pending arrival of her grandson, Nolan. Mrs.

Larry Jordan Sr.

Larry Charles Jordan, Sr., of Mont Belvieu, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in Houston, Texas surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 13, 1956 in Beaumont, Texas to Charles Jordan and Ruby Jean Attaway Sanders. Larry graduated from Lumberton High School in 1974. He and his wife were residents of Beaumont before relocating to the Mont Belvieu area in 1980. Larry worked for the City of Mont Belvieu for 35 years and was the Public Works Director. He was devoted to his job, was very proud being the public works director and would always say that he felt like the city was his own. Larry was always caring, genuine and an admirable mentor and a true friend to many. He constantly stayed so positive even after being diagnosed with cancer a year and a half ago. Larry was a very devoted and loving husband, father, pawpaw and friend. He enjoyed anything that involved his family.

Clinton Sherrell Jr.

Clinton Starnes Sherrell Jr., 76, of Silsbee, passed away August 26, 2017 at Silsbee Convalescent Center. Mr. Sherrell was born in Ysleta, Texas June 4, 1941 to Clinton S. Sherrell Sr. and Ouida Bess ‘Betty’ Haralson Sherrell. Clinton was a lifelong resident of Silsbee and was retired from Silsbee ISD where he taught auto mechanics. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast. Mr. Sherrell is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Christina Darlene Musinski. Left behind to cherish his memories are his daughter, Mary Katherine Adams of Kyle; sisters, Kay Gregg of Clear Lake City and Mary Reidinger of Silsbee. He is also survived by his adored grandchildren Jessica Percer, Danny Shelton, Ashleigh Lense and Claire Hall and three great- grandchildren. There are no services planned at this time. Mr. Sherrell will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Elmer Cooley

Elmer Cooley, 79, of Livingston, Texas went to his Heavenly home Sunday, August 27, 2017 after passing away at Kingwood Hospital. He worked primarily in the oilfield industry for Ashland Oil for 47 years, and retired from serving his local church of Livingston First Assembly of God where he was a longstanding member. Elmer was known to many as a farmer, fisherman, a loving father, a Christian, a provider, and friend. He was the kind of man that would give you the shirt off his back. He loved his family, his church and God. He loved to visit with friends and help people in need, all you had to do was ask and he was there ready and willing to help. Preceding him in death were his parents, Angie Lee Van Pelt Cooley and Robert Franklin Cooley; his brother, A.C. Cooley; and a son, Robert Allen Cooley. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Crickett Cooley of Livingston, Texas; five daughters, Wanda Cooley of Brenham, Texas, Renee Pond and husband Kevin of Brenham, Texas.

Donald Pierson

Donald Charles Pierson, 60, of Wildwood, went to be with the Lord Monday, August 28, 2017, at his home in Wildwood. He was born on February 3, 1957, in Clinton, Oklahoma, to June Potter Pierson Law and Robert Pierson. Don came from a large family, he was the ninth of ten children. He graduated from Plano High School, Plano, in 1975 and continued his education at Stephen F. Austin State University. Don moved to Houston to start a career as an Optician at Christy Optical. Since 2004 Don has been with Dr. Peter Case at Beaumont Family Eye Care over the Lab and as an Optician. Don is also a full-time pastor at Genesis Baptist Church of Silsbee. He preached his last sermon on July 30, 2017, until he could not stand up any more on his own.
