Glorious Middlebrook

Glorious Joyce Middlebrook, 85, of Silsbee, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018. Her graveside service was Monday, August 20 at Daniels Cemetery in Kountze under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Born in Beaumont, she had lived in the Southeast Texas area most of her life. Survivors include her sister, Rhonda L. McNeel of Silsbee; and a brother, Randall McNell of Silsbee.

Linda Dell Crites, 69, of Silsbee, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Funeral service was Saturday, August 18 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Born in McComb, Mississippi, she was a longtime resident of the Silsbee area. She was a retired bus driver with Lumberton I.S.D. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Timothy Crites of Silsbee; son, James Crites and wife Christy; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Gloria Faye Sanders, 63, of Silsbee, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 25 at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church in Silsbee with burial following at Kirby Cemetery in Silsbee under the direction of Robinson Funeral Home, also in Silsbee. Viewing will begin at 9 a.m. the day of service at the church. Survivors include her husband, Curtis Sanders Jr. of Silsbee; children, Charlie Hageon, Shirley Hageon, Stephanie Hageon, Rachel Hageon, Regina Hageon, Curtis Sanders III, Kurtis Sanders, Jazz Sanders, and Kamill Sanders, all of Silsbee; and 26 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Ratio Rhone, 68, of Silsbee, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018. Funeral service was Saturday, August 18 at St. Beulah Missionary Baptist Church in Silsbee under the direction of J.B. Coleman Memorial Mortuary in Silsbee with burial following at Kirby Cemetery, also in Silsbee. He was a lifetime resident of Silsbee. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Rhone; daughters, Wathena Rhone of Silsbee and Mignon Rhone Thomas and husband Roy Jr. of Beaumont; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Minnie Lou “Mickey” Sumner, age 77, of Silsbee, Texas, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018. Mrs. Sumner was born March 28, 1941, in San Augustine, Texas, and was the baby of seven children. She married the love of her life on August 18, 1956. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone into her home. She had a way about her that made each person feel special. She loved fishing, road trips, and her family most of all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie J.

Cecile Mason

Mrs. Cecile Mason, age 89, of Silsbee, Texas, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018. She was born September 26, 1928, in Meridian, Mississippi, to parents Benjamin Barefield and Pearl (Owen) Barefield and had been a longtime resident of the Silsbee area. Mrs. Mason was a founding member of Silsbee Baptist Church. Through the years she had been an active member of the church, including service as a secretary and teacher of VBS and Sunday School.

Nan Perry Bush 1931-2018

Nan Perry Bush, 87, of Conroe, Texas, passed away August 8, 2018. She moved to Silsbee with her husband, Ward H. Bush in 1954 where she resided for 60 years. In 2014, she moved to Conroe where she lived four years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward; and is survived by her children, David and wife Lynda Bush of Lake Conroe, Mary Nan Whitmeyer of Sugar Land, Tim and wife Belinda Bush of Grandbury, and Chris and wife Sharon Bush of Plano. Nan is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church in Silsbee on Saturday, August 25 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Episcopal church.

Michael Lindsey

Michael Lindsey, 63, died Saturday, August 11, 2018. He was born on September 18, 1954, in Anson, to Waldine Wallace Scott and Alton Eugene Lindsey. Survivors include his wife, Janet Lindsey, of Buna; children, Michelle Thompson, of Port Neches; Shauna Lindsey, of Port Arthur; Amber Webb and her husband, Joe, of Athens; and John Michael Lindsey, of Mabank; mother, Waldine Wallace Scott; brothers, Tim Lindsey and Dr. James R. Scott; and grandchildren, Taylor Thompson, Tanner Thompson, Hannah Thompson, Kris Webb, Bethany Webb, Nick Webb, Joshua Webb, Bethany Wooten, and Michael Lindsey; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Michael is preceded in death by his step-father, John Henry Scott, Jr.; grandson, John Roger Lindsey; and son- in- law, Chad Thompson. A gathering of Mr. Lindsey’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.

George Ann Ferguson, 63, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral service was Saturday, August 11 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Springhill Cemetery near Hemphill. Born in Beaumont and a former resident of Warren, she had lived in the Pineland/Hemphill area for the past several years. Survivors include her children, Keri Green of Houston, Jeffrey Kinsel and wife Kathy of Seattle, Washington, Danielle Wilkerson and husband Trey of Newton, Michelle Dixson and husband Johnathan of Port Arthur and Rachel Ferguson of Hemphill; brothers, Ronnie Harris and wife Shirley and Judson “Sandy” Tolar and wife Trina, all of Tomball; sister, Judy Tolar of Bronson; and five grandchildren.
