James Herbert Cunningham

James Herbert Cunningham, 78, of Silsbee, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at his home. Funeral service was Monday, November 20 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following at Fred Community Cemetery in Fred. A native and lifelong resident of Silsbee, he was the owner and operator of Cunningham Auto Parts in Silsbee. Survivors include son, Ricky Cunningham and wife Alice of Silsbee; daughters, Taffy Marie Gore and husband Richard Amburn of Silsbee and Andrea Gulledge and husband Randy of Mountainburg, Arkansas; and nine grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren.

Rev. Arthur James Hollis

Rev. Arthur James Hollis, 76, of San Antonio and formerly of Silsbee passed away October 25, 2017 in San Antonio. Funeral service was Saturday, November 4 at Resurrection Baptist Church in Schertz under the direction of Collins Funeral Home in San Antonio with burial following at Meadowlawn Cemetery in San Antonio. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Ira Mae Hollis; daughters, Artyna Hollis, Adlysa Hollis and Artha Gillis and husband Brian, all of Beverly Hill, California and Ariss Rider and husband Jesse of Dallas; and four grandchildren.

Lou Alice Lilley, 82, of Saratoga, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Silsbee Oaks Health Care in Silsbee. She was born in Silsbee. Funeral service was Friday, November 10 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Kountze with burial following at Big Sandy Cemetery in Dallardsville. Survivors include her children, Linda Griffin and husband Bert of Kountze and Dennis Lilley and wife April of Saratoga; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Elmer Wismer Jr.

Elmer Thomas Wismer, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on November 9, 2017 at Kountze Nursing Center. Elmer was born in Beaumont on October 24, 1932 to Willie Alice Murphy. After graduating from high school, Elmer served in the U.S. Army. Elmer’s wife, Wanda Green Wismer preceded him in death. Elmer is survived by twins born on his birthday, James and Jeannie Wismer. He is also survived by his brother- in- law, Russell Green and sisters- in-law, Sandy Talbert and Kay Mullins. He was known as a loving father and peaceful man. He had peace in his heart “that peace that passes all understanding” Phil. 4:7 A graveside service was held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 12 at Dry Creek Cemetery in Dry Creek, Louisiana under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons International P.O. Danny Daniels

Danny Edward Daniels, 60, of Lumberton, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017. He was a United States Army Ranger veteran and served with the 2nd Armor Division during the Viet Nam War. He worked as a paint and body man for many years, was a Mason and a member of the American Legion in Lumberton. Survivors include his wife Laura Daniels; sister, Tanya Tribbet; brothers, Theodore, Mark and Jay Beeny and Bill Barber; stepson, David Rice; and two stepdaughters, Lynnetta Hoerr and Casey Lynn Williams.

Harold D. Kirkendall, 74, of Silsbee, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at his home. Funeral service was Friday, November 10 at Caney Head Assembly of God Church in Silsbee with burial following in Cunningham Cemetery, also in Silsbee under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. A native and longtime resident of Silsbee, he worked many years in the construction industry. Survivors include his wife, Emma Luckey Kirkendall of Silsbee; daughters, Amy Kirkendall and Lillie Kirkendall, both of Silsbee; brother, B.L. Kirkendall of Silsbee; sisters, Patsy Ard and Louise Watts, both of Silsbee; and three grandchildren.

Milton Sticker

Milton Dalton Sticker, 94, of Silsbee, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Silsbee Oaks Health Care Center in Silsbee. Funeral service was Thursday, November 9 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following at Resthaven Cemetery, also in Silsbee. A native of Port Neches and a longtime resident of Silsbee, he worked many years as a supervisor for Jefferson Chemical before retiring, and was also an owner and operator of Tour Buses. He was a United States Navy veteran. Survivors include son, Gary Sticker of Nederland; daughter, Bernie Williams of Nederland; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Della Plaunty

Funeral services for Della LaNell Plaunty, 95, of Silsbee, was Friday, November 10, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery in Silsbee. Visitation was from 1:00 p.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Plaunty passed away November 6, 2017 at her residence. A native of Rusk, Della was a longtime resident of Silsbee. She worked many years as an LVN at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kountze before retiring. Mrs. Plaunty was a member of Genesis Baptist Church and the Silsbee Coin Club. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ethel Rausin; husband, Albert J. Plaunty Sr; daughter, Sonja Quinette Bryant; brother, George Stover; and sister, Flossy Laney. Left behind to cherish her memories are sons, David Plaunty of Silsbee, Albert Plaunty Jr.
