Kim Wood

Kim Wood, 69, of Silsbee, died Thursday, August 9, 2018. She was born on June 18, 1949, in Denver, Colorado, to Martha Osborne Applegate and Byron Lee Applegate. Kim worked for thirty-three years as a teacher for Kountze Independent School District. Kim loved her entire family with all her heart. She saw joy through the eyes of others. She was always asking about the wellbeing of her children, grandchildren, parents, siblings, nieces, nephews and would never miss a birthday party, wedding, or family celebration. Through her love of family and people, she spread her joy across the thousands of kids she taught in public school in Kountze. She was always very involved in their lives and always watched out for their heart, not only shaping them intellectually, but giving them a global view of the world through her trips to Washington D.C. every three years with the students.

It's been 6 years since you where taken from us. We miss you so much, not a day goes by that your name does not cross my lips.
