Sandra Hathaway

Sandra Mae “Sandy” Pertuit Hathaway, 76, of Lumberton, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Born in Pennsylvania, she and her deceased husband, Allen G. Hathaway owned and operated A.G.’s Feed and Seed in Silsbee. Survivors include her sons, Michael Edward Whitaker, Thomas James Whitaker and William John Whitaker; daughter, Betty Ann Tutko; step-daughters, Mary Beth Diaz and husband Jerry and Valerie Hathaway; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sharon Plantz Boothman, 82, of Kountze, passed away Monday, August 6, 2018. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, August 10 at First United Methodist Church in Silsbee. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. the day of service at the church. Committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium in Beaumont. Survivors include her children, Ross Boothman and wife Stephanie of Huffman, Dale Boothman and wife Jan of Silsbee and Beth Braley and husband John of Kountze; and seven grandchildren.

Reverend Joseph Seal

Reverend Joseph Michael Seal, 77, of Silsbee, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Funeral service was Sunday, August 5 at First Pentecostal Church in Silsbee under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee. His burial will be at Lakeland Memorial Gardens in Lakeland, Florida at a later date. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Linda Johns Seal; children, Dawn Michele McGuire and husband Reverend Kelly McGuire of Lakeland Florida and Dean Michael Seal of Chicago, Illinois; brother, Reverend L. Malcolm Seal and wife Eva of Jasper; sister, Carol Ward and husband Graham of Kerrville; and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Barbara Harper

Barbara Ann Harper, 83, of Evadale, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Heart is Cypress Senior Living in Cypress. Graveside service was Monday, August 6 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary in Beaumont. Born in Abbeyville, Louisiana, she was an active member of the community serving on the Evadale ISD School Board and Board Member of the Jasper County Appraisal District. She also volunteered at the Evadale election stations. Survivors include her daughter, Amy Jellison and husband Chris of Killeen; son, Sid Harper and wife Penny of Cypress; and three grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Ray Williams; children, Lavern Lamborn and husband David of Woodville, and Michael Ewing and Amanda Wright and husband Caleb, all of Kountze; sister, Shirley Casteneda of South Carolina; and 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Chandler Joseph Duvail, 23 months, of Silsbee, died peacefully in the loving arms of his family Tuesday morning, July 24, 2018. He was born to Karli Kasher and Travis Duvail on August 22, 2016, in Beaumont. Chandler was deeply loved by all who knew him and he loved everyone in his life just as much. A happy, spirited boy, he loved spending his days with his momma and he loved to play with his dad and his dog, Napa.
