Rebels clawed by Normangee 44-20 Friday

The Evadale Rebels suffered a 44-20 loss to Normangee on Friday. The loss moves the Evadale Rebels district record to 1-2 and puts plenty of pressure on them to win their next two games to have the best possible playoff position.

Silsbee smears Cleveland 52-7

It was like a cakewalk for Silsbee after it took the field during a “Pink-Out” game on Friday against Cleveland, while students showed its support for Breast Cancer Awareness. Silsbee was looking to do more over the lowly Indians in the Dist. 10-4A-DI game at Tiger Stadium.

The Lumberton Raiders got back into the groove after dismantling Baytown Lee 58-36 on Friday. Lumberton (5-2, 2-2 in Dist. 22-5A) can insure a spot in the playoffs with two more victories.

Tigers defang the Wildcats

The Silsbee Tigers started slow and then came on strong in the second half to defeat the winless Splendora Wildcats 54-13 on Friday. The win advanced the Tigers record this season to 5- 2 and moved them into position to possibly earn a spot in the playoffs.

Huffman wins shootout over Silsbee

It came down to a shootout of play after play between Silsbee and Huffman-Hargrave on Friday at Tiger Stadium. The homecoming crowd began to slowly dissipate after halftime festivities as Silsbee trailed by 24 points midway through the third quarter.

Lady Tigers cruise in district

Silsbee volleyball is cruising past its opponents in District 24-4A having won two more games to remain in second place in league standings. Silsbee (18-6, 4-1) outlasted Hamshire-Fannett and Bridge City last week to remain one of the top contenders in district with West Orange-Stark.

Silsbee opens district with win over LCM

The Silsbee Tigers may have been a bit banged up and worn out after a defeat by West Orange- Stark in Week 3 of UIL football, but that didn’t let the team suffer in its opening District 10-4A Div. I game. Silsbee simply picked up where it left off prior to the loss and made the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears pay.
