Austin – The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) has launched a new tool called Tomorrow Ready Texas to help parents and guardians support their teens with college and career planning. The tool provides Texas families with the resources they need to support their child’s success after high school – in college, a career, or military service.

Beaumont – Education First Federal Credit Union and its Paying It Forward program distributed over $56,000 to 144 local schools in Southeast Texas recently. The Paying It Forward program was conceived eight years ago to support education while allowing the credit union’s members to direct dollars back into their own communities.

BEAUMONT – Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Spindletop Center for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended August 31, 2021. This is the third consecutive year Spindletop Center has been awarded this certificate.
