Bill Coffee retires as sports official

Many people have unusual hobbies and part time occupations and Bill Coffee of Pinecrest Baptist Church is one of those people. He remembers that in 1998 he was pastoring in North Texas when while meeting and discussing sports with one of his members, the member, Mike Kirk stated, “You said, you like sports and you have a lot of knowledge so why don’t you try officiating.” Coffee had some knowledge.

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION — The Texas A&M University System’s meteoric growth was fueled today as Regents voted to approve spending more than $328 million on capital projects across the state. The Texas A&M University System has more than $4.1 billion worth of construction projects in planning and design, construction or development in Texas.

November 4 Taylor Stark of 5735 Acadian Lane in Beaumont, was arrested on one charge of possession of controlled substance penalty group 1 greater than or equal to four grams and less than 200 grams and one charge of tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair. Bond set at $2500 on the first charge and $5,000 on the second charge.

TEMPLE – Each year the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board and the Association of Texas Soil and Water Conservation Districts recognize and celebrate individuals that dedicate themselves to the conservation and management of renewable natural resources. These outstanding conservationists were recognized during an awards luncheon on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at the Moody Gardens Convention Center in Galveston.
