Candlelight tours Dec. 9 at museum

Woman, 19, leads LPD in chase before crashing

A 19-year-old woman from out of state was placed in the Hardin County Jail Monday afternoon after leading Lumberton police on a chase which ended in a crash. Police Chief Danny Sullins said the woman had attempted to cash stolen checks at a DuGood Credit Union drive-through in Lumberton.

Bailes helps pass two security bills

AUSTIN, TX –State Representative Ernest Bailes and fellow House Republicans, on Nov. 14, passed SB 3 and SB 4, constituting the strongest legislative border security package in the country. These measures will now proceed to the Governor’s desk.

Kountze council dealing with big natural gas bill from 2021

The Kountze City Council received an enormous bill for natural gas from Magnum Gas for the month of February in 2021, has not paid it and is considering how to go about paying it now. The council discussed the issue with Greg Dorris, a representative of Magnum Gas, at the regular council meeting last Thursday afternoon.
