Woodrow Baptist Church slates Saturday Nights Live

Special programs for kids ages 7-17 are scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for the four Saturday nights in October at Woodrow Baptist Church, located at 1325 Woodrow Street in Silsbee. The events, branded as Saturday Nights Live, will take place on Oct. 7, Oct. 14, Oct. 21 and Oct. 28.

Financial literacy education being offered to area schools

Crash near Kountze kills woman, injures two boys

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers are investigating a fatal crash on Farm-to-Market Road 770, near Coe Road on the northwest side of Kountze, that occurred Sunday, October 1, 2023. The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 1:41 p.m., a Nissan Titan was traveling east.
