A fall festival is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Special programs for kids ages 7-17 are scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for the four Saturday nights in October at Woodrow Baptist Church, located at 1325 Woodrow Street in Silsbee. The events, branded as Saturday Nights Live, will take place on Oct. 7, Oct. 14, Oct. 21 and Oct. 28.

FivePoint CU is bringing financial literacy education to students in several Texas cities and counties. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers are investigating a fatal crash on Farm-to-Market Road 770, near Coe Road on the northwest side of Kountze, that occurred Sunday, October 1, 2023. The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 1:41 p.m., a Nissan Titan was traveling east.
