The Lumberton Police Department reported 12 arrests during a period that ended on June 23. Six of the arrests were for outstanding warrants and one for a Class C misdemeanor.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office released the following information.

JASPER COUNTY — Jasper County residents who wish to protest must file a protest and a Jasper County Appraisal District (JCAD) employee will attempt to settle the dispute with an informal conversation before continuing to a formal hearing.
Last week, Gov. Greg Abbott told state lawmakers that students will return to public schools, in person, this August. He made the announcement on June 18.
The Silsbee Police Department responded to an accident at the intersection of Highway 327 East and Gentry Road on June 19. According Assistant Police Chief Robert Peden, the crash happened after 5 p.m. and involved a 2003 Ford Excursion driven by Elisa Bell Lockhart and a 2020 Jeep driven by Tammy Hatton. Peden reported the Ford was northbound on Gentry when it traveled into the path of the Jeep which was head westbound on FM 327. The Jeep struck the Excursion in the passenger side and both driver were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
