Kountze council OKs Farmers Market site

The Kountze City Council met in regular session on March16 and unanimously approved the George Washington Carver Memorial Park pavilion to be the site of farmers markets, sponsored by the Kountze Chamber of Commerce, beginning The first farmers market will be from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, and will take place each month.

The show was presented at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas.Not only did he earn a top spot win, he was also awarded a four-year art scholarship to the Lamar University Department of Art for the amount of $750 per semester and a $150 gift certificate for art supplies.
