KOUNTZE — The Hardin County Commissioners Court voted unanimously to table action to amend the County’s Hours Worked and Overtime Policy during their March 23 meeting in the Hardin County Court Room.

KOUNTZE — Hardin County Sheriff Mark Davis reported his office has been busy making several arrests of residents connected with a string of burglaries and thefts in the county.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office released the following information.
A Silsbee Fire Department firefighter extinguish a car fire in the parking lot of the Bible Baptist Church, located on U.S. 96 in Silsbee on March 23. KOUNTZE — Big Thicket National Preserve Fire Management is doing a prescribed burn starting which began March 19 in the Big Sandy Creek Unit continuing through the weekend, weather permitting.
KOUNTZE — Kristen H. White of the Hardin County Veterans Service Office (VSO) wants to remind veteran that military records from World War I to present are held at the National Archives in St. Louis.
The Silsbee Police Department reported 14 arrests for the period March 16-22.
