Silsbee Women’s Club

Kick off meeting is August 25 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Roosevelt Drive. We would love for the community women to come and enjoy the luncheon with us.

Hardin County Forrest Agricultural Youth Association Hosting Trade Days

Hardin County Forrest and Agricultural Youth Association is hosting Trade Days at the Hardin County Show Barn on 3677 Hwy 326 in Kountze on Saturday, August 27 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a barbecue food truck, sno cones, and other attractions.

Lumberton Kick Off Pep Rally

Lumberton will having its Kickoff Community Pep Rally on Wednesday, August 24.

Fintastic Blood Drive

Hunter Education Safety Course

Kountze- The Hardin County Extension Office will be hosting several Hunters Education Certification Courses over the next few months. the fee is $25 with lunch provided and all courses are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Hardin County 4-H Educational Building/ John Blair Barn Pavilion located at 3677 Hwy 326. To register, go to https://tpwd.elemntlms. com/course/hunter-education- class-room-course and search for the course in your area.

Payments will be received by cash or check at the door only.

Youth must be at least 9 years old to be certified. The program is open to youth and adults. Adults should plan on staying with their child if the child is under 12 years of age, and adults are able to purchase a lunch for themselves for $5.

Spots are limited, and you must use the above website to register.

The dates are August 27, September 10, October 8, and October 29.

Church To Hold Ribbon Cutting and Open House

Woodcrest United Methodist Church in Lumberton will hold an open house and ribbon cutting on Thursday, September 1 at 10:00 a.m.

Silsbee Chmber of Commerce Hosting Annual Homecoming Golf Tournament

The Annual Hmecoming Golf Tournament hosted by the Silsbee Chamber of Commerce will be held on September 2, starting at 11:00 a.m. There will be a 4 person scramble along with a “Battle of the Tigers” Alumni Competition.

Christian Care Center Seeks Donations

The Hardin County Christian Care Center is seeking food donations and other items.

They need peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti, Ramen noodles, Ravioli or SpaghettiOs with meat, dry beans, macaroni and cheese, cornbread mixes, dry cereal, oatmeal, grits, canned soups, crackers, tuna, Spam, Hamburger Helper, and cooking oil.

Also needed are diapers and pull-ups sizes 4 and 5.

Items can be dropped off at the center at 413 West Avenue P( Monday- Wednesday) or at the Silsbee Chamber of Commerce.

2022 Wall of Honor

Enjoy a catfish dinner whiule honoring Silsbee high School Athletes: 2022 WOH Inductees-David Green jr and Gary McGuire on ?Thrusday, septermber 1 at SHS cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. Tickets sold at the door. Master of Ceremonies will be The Honorable Fred Williams, Mayor of Kountze.

One SWEET NIght Street Dance

Silsbee Elite will be hosting a street dance in downtown Silsbee on September 3 from 5:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free.. Concessions will be available.
