Evadale scores single touchdown against Hardin

Hardin- In a rain-soaked away game, Evadale lost to Hardin 20-6.

The Rebels started off solid in the first quarter. Jody Isbell scored a touchdown off a 76 yard pass from Gary Farr with the PAT attempt by Farr being no good. That gave the Rebels the lead 6-0, but this would be the only time Evadale scored.

Hardin tied up the score with a fumble return for a touchdown and an unsuccessful PAT. At the end of the first quarter, the score was 6-6.

In the second quarter, hard scored again, but this time the PAT was good. That brought the score to 6-13. At the half, the score remained 6-13.

Coming back out for the second half, neither team scored a touchdown during the third quarter.

It wasn’t until the fourth quarter that Hardin scored their final touchdown with a good kick after.

The brought the final score of 20-6.

Despite the loss, Farr wracked up 244 yards from 17/37 attempts. Unfortunately, he did throw three interceptions. Farr also picked up some rushing yards, as well. In fact, he led the Rebels during the game in rushing yards with 61 yards on 18 carries. Behind him was Wright with 2 yards on 2 carries.

Isbell led Evadale in receiving. He snagged seven catches for 106 yards with the 76 yard TD pass being his longest. Next up, Terrell caught 4 for 68 yards.

On defense, the Rebels had two sacks, one coming from Byrum and the other from Henderson. Farr led the team in tackles with 5 So far, Evadale is 0-2 on the season. Up next, they face Kountze at home.
