PASSING THE TORCH

Calling high school football games for years never seemed to get old to Ken Pelt. The current Hardin County commissioner of precinct 3 made a name for himself at Hardin-Jefferson football games, even when his first calling was to fill in temporarily. “A former teammate of mine on the Sour Lake Warriors football team called me up to fill in for one game,” Pelt said. “It turned from one game, to another, and then another.”
