Cox indicted on theft of band booster funds

A revelation that occurred in the month of October of last year that left the Lumberton Band Boosters, students, and parents, as well as the community, shocked and outraged. On February 16, Helen Louis Cox, of Lumberton, was indicted for committing thee offense of misapplication of fiduciary property, a third degree felony. On October 19, 2016, Lumberton Chief of Police Danny Sullins and Lieutenant Joseph Breaux met with President Randy Eason and Vice President David Grass of the Lumberton Band Boosters about theft.
