Libraries recovering from storm to receive new books

AUSTIN — Texas libraries recovering from Hurricane Harvey are about to receive 100 new books to help them rebuild their collections.

Thanks to the generosity of the Brownstone Book Fund of New York, libraries affected by the storm will be able to offer community residents new reading selections for children.

The Brownstone Book Fund reached out to Mark Smith, Director of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission, to determine the best way of reaching the many libraries in the state dealing with Harvey and its aftermath.
