Johni Ruth Dunbar, 85, of Silsbee, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018. She was born in Emilee, Texas, on June 28, 1932, to Bronson and Vernie Fitzgerald. She was a member of the Lonestar Square Dancers Club, and she taught exercise classes. She loved to crochet, garden and plant flowers. She lived life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Augustus Dunbar, Sr. “Gus”; brother, W.D. Fitzgerald; and son, Bronson Edwin Dunbar. She is survived by her sons, Donald L. Dunbar and wife Penny of Fort Worth, TX, Ronald Dunbar and wife Kathy of 29 Palms, California, and William Augustus Dunbar, Jr. and wife Diana of Aransas Pass, Texas; daughter, Alice Cunningham and husband Ricky of Silsbee; brother, Bronson Bobby Lee Fitzgerald and wife Marie of The Woodlands, Texas; sisters, Quida Paine and husband Howard of Silsbee, Faye Dominy of Silsbee, and Debbie Hatton and husband Garnet of Spurger; sister-in-law, Vada Fitzgerald of Evadale, 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The family received friends at Farmer Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018 in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Mike Anderson officiating. Interment followed at R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers were Gary Paine, Johnny Dunbar, Mike Fitzgerald, Bronson Dominy, Aubrey Hatton and John Hatton
