Stacy Lynn Garner, age 46, passed away Saturday February 24, 2018. She was born to David "Skip" Rossen and Claudell Faye Vanderhider on May 20, 1971 in Thousand Oaks, California. Stacy spent her career as a marketer in the home health care field. She had worked for several home health agencies in the area. She also worked as an Administrative Assistant for Lumberton ISD Maintenance Department. To say Stacy loved animals was an understatement. She was always there when a stray frog, lizard, turtle, or any other critter needed to be caught and given TLC. She would think nothing about stopping on the side of the road to save a stranded turtle. Luke, the rabbit, even decided he didn't want to be released after his rescue because he knew where all the love was and didn't want to go. She had her collection of hot and cold blooded friends both at home and in her office. She once painted a turtle orange so he would not get lost from her sight. Stacy loved to cook, and according to her family, she was the best! Stacy was involved in the Hardin County ACTS movement, attending her retreat in 2013 and serving on several teams since then. "The one who serves God willingly is heard; his petition reaches the heaven." Sirach 35:16. Stacy was a faithful servant that served each team with her whole heart and soul.
