Former preacher, registered nurse arrested

A former Lumberton preacher is facing drug charges after a month long investigation into suspicious drug activity. Jimmy Midkiff, 62, of Lumberton was released fromthe Hardin County Jail last week, posting a $1,500 bail after being arrested on Tuesday night, February 11, when drug paraphernalia and a considerable amount of the pain killer Dilaudid was found at his home by authorities. Araid was conducted at the 11000 block of Cooks Lake Road in Lumberton by Hardin County investigators.
