Graveside services for Emma Lou Brownlee, 91, of Silsbee were at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee. Visitation began at 5:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Brownlee diedMarch 25, 2014 at Silsbee Convalescent Center. Emma was born in Call and was a longtime resident of Hardin County. She was retired from the Lumberton Public Library where she was an assistant librarian. Mrs. Brownlee is preceded in death by her parents, William Samuel and Fannie Lou Bishop Rosser; husband, W.E. “Bill” Brownlee; brothers, William Rosser, Neff Rosser,W.S. Rosser and Norman Rosser; and sisters, Mattie Harrington, Althea Paramore, Inez Grisham, Doris Suitt and NormaWallace. Survivors include daughters, Sharon Wornick and husband Gary of Wildwood and Diane Cane of New York NY; granddaughter, Kathy Friend and husband Lt. Col. Dan Friend of WoodbridgeVA; grandson, Jason Wornick and wife Laci of Mount Belvieu; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Memorial contributions honoring Mrs. Brownlee may be made to the Lumberton Public Library.
