Funeral services for Bonnie Ruth Wheeler Hendrix, 96, of Kountze were at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014 at the 1st United Methodist Church of Kountze under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home. Interment followed in Old Hardin Cemetery. Visitation was from 12:00 p.m. Friday until time of service at the church. Mrs. Hendrix passed away July 14, 2014 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Anative of Enhouse, TX, Bonnie was a long time resident of this area. She was a teacher for West Hardin ISD until retiring. Mrs. Hendrix is preceded in death by her parents,Wright and Etta Greer Wheeler; husband Carroll Wilson ‘Red’ Hendrix; brothers Audrey Wheeler and David Wheeler; sister DorisMcKay and grandson Trent Carpenter.  Survivors include sons, Don Kelton Hendrix of Tyler and Gerald Clifford Hendrix of Mt. Vernon; daughters, Wanda Kaye Weisman and husband Adrian of Port Orchard, WA and Carol Renee Baker of Houston; grandchildren Jon Carpenter, Kelly Baker, Kasey Baker, Adam Hendrix, Penny Elwood, Mandy Wettstein, Anissa Rasheta, Meg Abhau, Patrick Hendrix, Cara Harris, Morgan Hendrix, Kaleb Hendrix and Crissy Woodman and great grandchildren Aiden Hackenberg, Jessie Hackenberg, Matthew Hendrix, Nicholas Hendrix, Austin Elwood, Spencer Elwood, Parker Elwood, Mallory Elwood, Kalvin Wettstein, Sage Wettstein, KobeWettstein, Daisy Wettstein, Robin Bradshaw, Oliva Rasheta, Landon Rasheta, Jon Abhau, Tucker Harris, Hannah Harris, Haven Harris,Ashley Woodman, and SebastianWoodman.
