KOUNTZE — Faced with a light agenda, the Hardin County Commissioners Court wasted little time taking actions on several items during its Dec. 4 meeting.

Nine-year-old Caitlyn Daigle, a fourth-grader at Fred Elementary School, killed her first deer — a doe — on Nov. 23 at the Magnolia Hunting Club in Spurger.

The Silsbee Police Department reported seven arrests. Four of the arrests were warrant arrests and one was a Class C misdemeanor. They arrested two people on other charges.

Hardin County Sheriff’s Office released the following information:

Stacy Ann McNeely, 47, of Dam B, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018 in Beaumont. She was born in Illinois on November 28, 1971 and was a former resident of Kirbyville.

Darwin Clyde Patton Jr., 58, of Orange, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018. He was born in Freeport.

Nathanial Jacob “Nate” Coward, 16, of Lumberton, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He was born in Livingston.

Bobbi Lea Gray, 40, of Silsbee, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018. She was born in Beaumont.
