It is with great sadness that the family of Carolyn Hartman Wilson announces her passing on May 5, 2020, at the age of 78 years.
She was a true disciple of Jesus Christ and spent her life in the service of others. Carolyn loved the Lord and held many callings in the Silsbee Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. Carolyn graduated from Silsbee High School in 1960, married Eugene Wilson December 12, 1959 and became a loving homemaker for her husband and children.
She is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Goldie Hartman, her sister Barbara Dulaney and brother Billy Hartman. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 60 1/2 years Eugene Wilson; son Mark Wilson and John Edwards of Bridgeport, CT; son Dr. Jody Wilson and Kelly of McAlester, OK; her 5 grandchildren: Kiah, Jacob, Amy, Michael and Avery; and her brother Fred Hartman.
A graveside service was held at 11am Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee with Bishop Wade Miller and Bishop Bryan Bebee officiating. Cellist Thomas Schroeder played two of her favorite hymns: “How Great Thou Art” and “In the Garden”.
Honorary pallbearers were Jason Clark, Matthew Dulaney, Mike Dulaney, Mark Goodwin, Shane Odom, David Saulsbury, Wesley Saulsbury and Jacob Wilson.
