Charles Edward McCarter, 65, of Fort Worth, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27 at the House of Prayer Church of God in Christ in Silsbee under the direction of J.B. Coleman Memorial Mortuary in Silsbee with burial following at Kirby Cemetery, also in Silsbee. Viewing will begin at 9:45 a.m. the day of service at the church.
Born in Honey Island and a former resident of Silsbee, he graduated from Waldo-Mathews High School in Silsbee and was the owner and operator of Finest Barber in Fort Worth.
Survivors include his mother, Roberta Lee of Silsbee; sons, Charles McCarter Jr., Jason Mofett and Charles Coleman, all of Dallas; daughters, Risheeka Austin and husband Steve, Debra Adams and husband Rodrick, Shree Mofett, Della Marie Cauley and Nikki Cauley, all of Fort Worth; sisters, Julie Haynes and Brenda Walters and husband Bishop Walters, all of Beaumont and Linda Wilson and husband Winfred, Faye Smith and husband Terry, Ruilkee Washington and husband Barry, and Carolyn Young, all of Silsbee; brothers, Larry McCarter of Woodville, J.D. McCarter of Fort Worth, David McCarter of Phoenix, Arizona and Lewis Williams of Dallas; and 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
