The Silsbee Tigers ran their record to 8-0 in District play and 19-9 overall with a wins over Vidor on Friday and Bridge City on Tuesday. They defeated Vidor 10054 and Bridge City 104-55.

The Silsbee girls powerlifting team won first place at the Silsbee High School Powerlifting meet. Five Lady Tigers placed first, three placed second and two third as they cruised to a team high 56 points.

The Silsbee Lady Tigers defeated Bridge City and Vidor last week to advance their overall record to 23-3 and their district record to 9-0. The Lady Tigers are now firmly in first place.

By DANNY RENEAU The Kountze Lions ran their record o 26-4 and 9-0 in district play with wins over Hardin and Warren. The Lions defeated Hardin by a score of 115-33 and they defeated Warren by a score of 110-33.

The Silsbee Tigers got a surprise on Friday when LCM came out and hit a quick three. Alentheon Winn then followed with another “3” and added three field goals in the first quarter. Braylon Lewis added two more “3”’s and LCM took a 21-16 lead.

The Kountze Lions advanced their record to 23-4 and 6-0 in district play with a 55-47 victory over Orangefield on Wednesday evening at the Kountze Lions Den. The two teams were tied for first in the district race with no losses.

The Silsbee Tigers came out shooting from long range with Lamarcus Bottley, Payton Jones and Quinton Shoulders all dropping balls through the bottom of the net from long range as the Tigers defeated Jasper at Jasper 108-52 on Jan. 9.

Last Week the Tigers played in the Sugar Bowl Classic in New Orleans. Silsbee won two games and lost one.

The top two teams in District 19 4A met in Silsbee on Friday and the SHS Tigers claimed a 107-62 victory over the West Orange Stark Mustangs. The Mustangs came out and attempted to run with the Tigers and it was obvious from the start that Silsbee had the upper hand.
