EVADALE — The Evadale Rebels won 2 game and lost 1 in their annual Evadale Baseball Tournament on March 5 and 6 at Evadale High School.
KOUNTZE — Kountze had three players and their coach were honored on the All-District 22-3A boys basketball team that was announced by district head coaches.
SILSBEE 5, KOUNTZE 4 — The Lady Tigers picked up a non-district win on the road. After trailing 3-0 after the first inning, Silsbee tied the game with 3 in the second and added 2 in the fourth in the 4- inning affair. Sheridan Drake led SHS with 2 hits and Adysan Tatom drove in 2 runs. Abbie House took the loss for Kountze. She allowed 4 hits, struck out 3 and walked 2.
JASPER — The Evadale Lady Rebels had a tough outing at the annual Jasper Tournament, posting a 1-5 record in 6 games on March 5-7. Evadale scored just 17 runs
COLMESNEIL — The Kountze Lionettes recorded 4 losses in the annual Colmesneil Softball Tournament on March 5.
BRIDGE CITY — The No. 19 Lady Raiders finished 3-2 at the annual Lady Cardinal Tournament on March 5-7 at Bridge City High School.
BELTON — Former Lumberton High basketball standout Hannah Holt broke the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor’s record for career steals with 162 in her 3-year career at the school.

The Silsbee Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 10 for Tiger Hut which is located in the Pine Plaze.
KOUNTZE 11, HIGH ISLAND — The Lions broke a scoreless tie with 3 runs in the third for a non-district win at home. Caden Laird and Trent Phillips each drove in 2 runs, while Micah Depew, Kobyn Freeman and J.T. Smith had a single each. Smith, Hunter Perkins and Hagen Mathews combined for 13 strikeouts and a walk in 7 innings. Both teams committed 4 errors.
