Silsbee and Lumberton will open the 2023 football season with a scrimmage at Tiger Stadium. The scrimmage will start at 6:30 p.m.

Jackson Hardy has been hired as an assistant middle school football coach and assistant high school baseball coach. The announcement was made earlier this week by Randy Smith, SISD athletic director and head football coach.

The Silsbee Tiger Youth Football Camp will be held held from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

Kalon “Boogie” Barnes held his first annual football camp at Tiger Stadium last Saturday. Over 100 kids, kindergarten age through high school participated in the camp.

Randy Smith, Silsbee Independent School District athletic director, has announced the following schedule for football players for the next several weeks: July 24 thru July 27 8 am to 10:30am - Silsbee Tiger 7th and 8th grade football Camp (7th and 8th graders report to the gym for registration at 8 a.m.)

Football season will begin to get into full swing next week with a football camp for seventh through ninth grades. The camp will be 8 a.m.

The Kountze Lions varsity football team will have workouts from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The Evadale Rebels will begin practicing for the 2023 football season on Monday, July 31. Practice will be from 1 p.m.

Kalon “Boogie” Barnes has announced that the first annual Youth Football Camp is scheduled for this coming Saturday morning, July 15, at Silsbee High School. The camp will be for those in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Drelon Miller has announced his intention to accept a scholarship offer to Texas A&M University. Miller was an All State player in both football and basketball at Silsbee High School.
