Raiders playoff hopes still alive after Vidor game

The Lumberton Raiders kept their play-off hopes alive with a 63-53 victory over the Vidor Pirates in a game that had many twists and turns. Lumberton had an early 4-2 lead in this game and Vidor scored the next 15 points to lead 17-4. Zander Lindsey and Brayden Root were doing much of the damage for Vidor.

Silsbee Tigers crush LCM 80-47 in District game

On a night when Jimbo Fisher, head football coach at Texas A&M, was standing in the door on the east side of the Tiger Den and another semi-disguised fellow from the University of Alabama was perched near the entrance to the Tigers’ locker rooms, Dre’lon Miller, who was thought to be the reason for their visit to Silsbee, was putting on a show. The 6’1” guard started the game in his usual fashion dishing the ball to waiting teammates and doing everything he could to improve their play while making an occasional lay up and grabbing an occasional rebound.

Silsbee girls win first power lifting competitiion

Girls results from Silsbee High School Powerlifting Meet include: Team Results – Silsbee first, LCM second, WOS third, and Orangefield fourth. Annie Bebee finished first in her class with a total of 880 lbs.

Tigers win second in first powerlifting meet

The Silsbee Tigers placed second in their first power lifting meet of the year with LCM claiming first place. The Battling Bears had three first place performers, four seconds, two thirds and two fourths for a total of 52 points.

Lady Tigers keep district lead at 7-0

The Silsbee Girls basketball team ran their record to 21-3 and their district record to 7-0. The Silsbee girls have already had their second bye and after they played Bridge City on Tuesday they will have four games remaining.
