With less than two weeks left in the regular season, Silsbee and Lumberton are positioning themselves for the Class 4A playoffs.
WINNIE — LaMarque’s Jordan Ivy Curry popped in a game-high 30 points as the Cougars sent the Lumberton Raiders home in Class 4A area playoff action, 71-54, on Feb. 28 at East Chambers High School.
Both the Lumberton Raiders and Silsbee Tigers have clinched a playoff berth in the upcoming Class 4A playoffs.

DAYTON — Four Coldspring players hit in double figures as the No. 4 Trojans eliminated the Kountze Lions from the Class 3A playoffs with an 85-66 win in area playoff action on Feb. 28 at Dayton High School.

CHANNELVIEW — The Silsbee Tigers broke the 100-point for the second time this season with a 103-87 win over the Brazosport Exporters in area playoff action on Feb. 28 at Channelview High School.
CROSBY — Braelon Bush sank a free throw with 4.9 seconds left in the game to give the Silsbee Tigers a thrilling 84-83 win over the Booker T. Washington Eagles in Class 4A Region 3 quarterfinal action on March 3 at Crosby High School.
HOUSTON — Drelon Miller drilled a 3-point basket with 8.5 seconds remaining as the Silsbee Middle School eighthgrade boys team won the Middle School Championship, 63-60, over Lake Olympia (Missouri City) on Feb. 22 at Washington High School.
