ANAHUAC — Two Kountze High School tracksters qualified for the Class 3A area meet after finishing among the top four at the District 22-3A track and field championships on April 5 and 7 at Kyle White Field at Anahuac High School.
SARATOGA — The Evadale boys and girls competed in the District 25-2A track and field championship on April 7 at West Hardin High School.
With less than 2 weeks left in the regular and district season, several team are in excellent position to make the UIL postseason playoffs, which begin on May 1.
Twelve girls from Lumberton and four from Silsbee were named to the 2021 All-District 21-4A girls soccer team which was released by district coaches recently.
The Orangefield Bobcats scored 3 runs in the eighth inning for an 8-6 win over the Silsbee Tigers in District 22-4A action in Silsbee on April 9.
Twenty-one players from Silsbee and Lumberton were named to the All-District 21-4A boys’ soccer team which was released by district coaches last week.
A host of Silsbee and Lumberton High School boy and girl soccer players were named to the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches (TASCO) to the Academic All-State Team.
Evadale High School senior T.J. Boles signed to play baseball at Centenary College in Shreveport. He signed on March 8 as his parents watch. Boles, the son of Tom and Shannon Boles, is a multisport athlete for the Rebels. The Centenary baseball team is ranked No. 17 among NCAA Division 3 schools.
