Janis Holt invites the public to come to Nice Guy Ricky’s American Grill at 192 S. LHS Drive in Lumberton about 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon for a rally and fundraiser in which Gov. Greg Abbott is expected to endorse her candidacy for District 18 state representative.
In addition to voting on Republican candidates in the March 5 primary to possibly face Democrats in the November election, there are a total of 13 proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution which voters are asked to give their opinions.
The proposed propositions are as follows:
Proposition 1
Texas should eliminate all property taxes without increasing Texans’ overall tax burden.
