84 acres burn near Kountze

A fire which started out as a control burn wound up burning about 84 acres of a wooded area north of Kountze last Saturday afternoon. Kountze firefighters were already involved in a control burn in Kountze when the call came in that a fire had gotten out of control, at least partly due to the high winds which had moved into the area. Kountze firefighters soon found themselves joined by fireā€¦
