The Big Thicket National Preserve celebrated its 49th anniversary last Saturday in conjunction with a solar eclipse, and the event was a big success. Megan Urban, preserve public information officer, said between 250 and 300 people came to spend much of the day enjoying the pretty weather, taking advantage of the treats available at the event, and getting to watch the moon go between the earth…
