  • Bailey Holt was sworn in as a new officer of the Silsbee Police Department last week. He is one of the department’s telecommunicators and will perform other duties as a police officer when needed. He recently earned his Texas Peace Officer License after graduating from the Lamar Institute of Technology Regional Police Academy. He also is a volunteer for the Silsbee Fire Department. The Hardin County Sheriff ’s Department has released the following information. Each individual named in this report is assumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Dec. 10 Kimberly Jones, Silsbee, was arrested on charges of assault causing bodily injury. Bond was set at $5,000.
