Kountze Elementary School students did well in the recent UIL Academic Competitions.
In Math, Kinley McDaniel won first, Presleigh Ryan fifth and Isaac Nelson sixth.
In Chess, both Eden Fridell and Rylin Anderson won first place, and Cooper Goff won second.
