SHS Student Selected for SCAC

According to a Press Release from Silsbee ISD, Silsbee junior Cara Heisner has been selected has been selected to participate in Congressman Brian Babin’s Students Congressional Advisory Council (SCAC).

According to a spokesperson from Congressman Babin’s office, SCAC is where students from selected high schools meet to exchange ideas about our communities, future in industry, space and technology from their perspective, as well as provide some engaging and unique opportunities to hear from professionals who might further inspire our youth.

“I was really shocked because I did not realize I was being noticed for what I was doing for the school and community,” said Heisner.

Heisner will meet twice a semester with the SCAC.
