Janis Holt, who has been Silsbee school board president since May of 2022 and a school board member since 2014, has announced her intentions to run for state representative.
She will be a candidate for District 18, the seat now held by Ernest Bailes of Shepherd, in the March 5, 2024 Republican Primary.
