Three teenagers rescued after swimming at night in swollen Village Creek

Three teenage boys, ages 14 and 15, were rescued from a sand bar after swimming in a swollen Village Creek on Wednesday night of last week. Silsbee Fire Chief Robin Jones said firefighters were called shortly after 9 p.m. to go to the creek about three bends north of the bridge on Highway 327 west of Silsbee.
