BOBBIE BAUMANN

Lillie “Bobbie” Tarver Baumann, 97, of Silsbee, went to be with her savior on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 6:45 p.m. She died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.

Bobbie married the love of her life, Edwin Howard Baumann, on December 9, 1950. They made their home in Silsbee, Texas and raised their children where she still resided. Bobbie was a retired cook for Silsbee Doctors Hospital with 25 years of service. She was well known for her love of cooking, for her family and especially her yeast rolls and jellies.

Bobbie is survived by her children, Sally Blackhall of Cypress; Thomas Baumann and his wife, Pam, of Silsbee; Wayne Baumann and his wife, Beverly, of Silsbee; and Caroline Baumann of Conroe; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. She has one living brother, John Tarver.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; parents, Sarah and Samuel Tarver; daughter, Delanie Parr; brothers, Franklin Monroe Tarver, Tom Tarver, Alfred Tarver, Albert Tarver, Jessie Tarver, and Henry “Bud” Tarver; sisters, Lou Ella Callahan and Essie Mae Stanley.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ronald Hare, Christopher Baumann, Wayne Baumann II, Michael Baumann, Colin Blackhall, and Garth Baumann.

A gathering of Mrs. Baumann’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 1 at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, with her interment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery, Silsbee.
