Carla Farley

Carla Louise Boswell Farley was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday August 20, 2023 at her home in Kountze, Texas. She had lived in Kountze for the past 17 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mildred Hyde and her infant son.

Carla is survived by her three sons Billy Boswell, Gregory Boswell, Cory Boswell; her grandchildren Casey Self and husband Cody, Taylor Boswell, Jillian Boswell, Hallie Boswell, Reese Boswell; four great grandchildren, Brynlee Self, Cohen Self, Camden Boswell and Leleah Boswell; her brothers Billy Hyde, David Hyde, and Johnny Hyde; cousins, Terry Sawyer, Jerry Sterling, Dovie Smith, Dixie Seymour, Robert Lee and James Lee. Along with Carla’s family, her extended family are Sherrie Miller and her husband Lee, Amy Miller Gonzales, Tristan, Jay and Skylee Foster, and Virginia Black.

Carla’s family is forever grateful for the kindness, love, and compassion that the eldest son, Billy displayed while giving her the care she so desperately needed and deserved. One can’t express how much more comfortable he made her feel during her last few months of life. He endured things a son should never have to go through but chose our mother’s comfort instead. He set aside everything including sleep. Our mother’s comfort was all that mattered to him. She received nonstop care in the comfort of her own home until her last breath four minutes after midnight. Thank you big brother, we love you.

In her passing Carla was surrounded by her sons Billy, Gregory, Cory, granddaughter Hallie and her extended family Sherrie, Amy, Skylee, and Sunny.

Carla was a devoted mom, Nana, Gigi, and friend. Her kindness, grace and faith in our Heavenly Father made her a beautiful light in the lives of all that knew her. She spent countless hours enjoying the beautiful nature that God has given to all of us. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for allowing her presence to fulfill our lives during her time on earth. She will be truly missed by all of us. Until we meet again.
