Duncan McMillan

Duncan “Tex” McMillan, 63, of Livingston, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024 in Houston, Texas. He was born October 8, 1960, to James Edward and Martha McMillan in Kountze, Texas.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 1-4 p.m. at his family home, 9149 Bussey Road in Silsbee.

Duncan left Silsbee in 1980 for a tour in the United States Marine Corps. It was there he met and married the love of his life, Kitty. After he left the military, they lived in Tustin, California, where he worked with Life Fitness. Later he was relocated to Aurora, Illinois until 2021. He then returned to live in Livingston, Texas.

Duncan was a devoted husband, father, papa, son, and brother. He greatly enjoyed camping with his family at every opportunity. He was loved and will be missed by many.

Duncan was preceded in death by his father, James Edward “Buck” McMillan; and by stepmother, Mary Andrews McMillan.

Survivors include his wife, Kitty of 35 years; son, Erik Yokoyama of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Monique Christy of Aurora, Illinois; grandson, Shayne Christy and wife, Grace of Pine Bush, New York; granddaughter, Breanna Fields and fiancé, Jose Calderon of Aurora, Illinois; great grandsons, Leonidas and Azrael; sisters, Jamie Caraway and husband, Patrick of Silsbee, Texas, Rachel Fontaine and husband, Billy of Katy, Texas; and by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
