Esther Newell

Esther Ruth Newell, 82, of Beaumont, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023. She was born in Lexington, Mississippi to Emma Pauline “Polly” Farmer McDonald and Richard Young McDonald.

Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, September 7 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 9 at Quanah Cemetery in Quanah, Texas.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Newell; sons, Kent Newell and wife Kristi of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, Scott Newell and wife Paige of Kountze, Lane Newell and wife Sheila of Lumberton, and Mike Newell and wife Deborah of Marble Falls; sister, Tandy Boyd and husband Bill of Brookeland; and 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
