James Emery “Toonie” McNeely, 74, of Fred, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023. He was born in Silsbee to James “Buck” McNeely and Inez Hooks McNeely.

Funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Friday, August 25 at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville with burial following at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, August 24 at the funeral home.

A longtime resident of Fred, he was a United States Army veteran and a retired welder.

Survivors include his children, James Allen Mc-Neely, Brian Emery Mc-Neely and wife Kim, and Christy McNeely Delcambre and husband Jeremy; siblings, Tommy McNeely, Sharon McNeely Bryan, Linda Guillot and Jimmy Guillot; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
