Jim “Uncle Hank” Jenkins, 73, of Fred, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023. He was born in Fred to Maudie Peterson Jenkins and Roe Jenkins.
Graveside service will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, September 14 at Fred Community Cemetery in Fred under the direction of Riley Funeral Home in Woodville. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. the day of service at the funeral home.
A lifelong resident of Fred, he worked in the logging industry where he was a skidder/shear driver. He was a United States Army Vietnam veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Eloise Jenkins; children, John Roe Jenkins and wife Sheila, Jimmy Wayne Jenkins, Joe Don Jenkins, and Bonnie Jenkins and husband Allen McGallion; half-brother, Steve Harville; and nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
