Jim Wells

Jim “JP” Wells, 93, of Lumberton, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023. He was born in Newton County to Florence Gilbert Wells and Vernon Wells.

He was a United States Army veteran. He worked for Texaco for 12 years and for Dupont for 30 years and served as a reserve officer for the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office for 20 years.

Survivors include his son, Greg Wells; daughter, Kelli Pickering and husband Gene; sister, Betty Sue Wells Loukas of Beaumont; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation was under the direction of Broussard’s’ Mortuary in Silsbee.
