Merle Steely

Merle Marie Steely, 94, of Lumberton, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023. She was born in Port Arthur to James W. and Mary Frances Harmon.

Funeral service was Monday, January 9 at First Christian Church in Port Arthur under the direction of Lumberton Family Funeral Home in Lumberton with burial following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

Survivors include her husband, Harvey F. Steely of Lumberton; sons, Harvey F. “Rick” Steely Jr. and wife Roxanne of Acworth, Georgia and David Steely and wife Jodi of Dallas; daughters, Kathryn Ann Brittain of Dallas and Theresa Steely Ellison and husband Donnie of Atascocita; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
