Nita Stephens

Nita Fay Stephens (née Biddle), 71, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 15, 2023. She was born to Jaquetta Rose and Julius Biddle Sr. on September 18, 1951, in Richmond, Texas.

She grew up in Silsbee, Texas, where she lived most of her life, moving to Garland, Texas, where she enjoyed a joyful retirement.

Nita is preceded in death by her parents and her spouse, Robert Stephens.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Ard, and son, Billy Stephens, 9 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren; her sister, Beulah Duncan, and four brothers: Julius Jr., John, Jay, and Danny Biddle.

A celebration of life for Nita Stephens will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October

Nita is known for saying, “Family is most important,” and she exuded that sentiment in how she lived her life. She will be remembered for her welcoming smile, infectious laugh, and cheerful spirit; she never met a stranger and will be lovingly remembered by all.
